So, you want to be a contributor to The First Drop? We're flattered by your interest! The First Drop is seeking to trigger the discussions that will help Canada move forward in the next generation. As we launch the community, our founding contributors will be crucial in setting up the issues that matter and bringing much needed reality-driven, balanced perspectives to the table. We also suspect that you, as a contributor, will become a leader in the growing community, within TFD and far beyond.

But first, we'd like to know a little more about you. Please complete this application form, and we'll get in touch with you as soon as possible. Feel free to write as much or as little as you like in each text field. Also, please take a look at our contributor guidelines. They may answer some questions, and will need your agreement.

We are hoping to select up to 20 founding Contributors. To be considered for this group, please submit your application by February 7, 2010 at midnight. If you have any questions, feel free to email Brendan. Good luck, and thanks for your interest.

Tell us about yourself

We'd like to get a better idea of who you are. Share as much or little as you wish. The more information we have though, the better we can pull together a group with unique and complementary backgrounds and interests.

Résumé Upload

Please use a reasonably common file format, such as .txt, .rtf, .pdf, or .doc.

Tell us about your writing

Your work will spur powerful discussions on The First Drop. So we'll need great writing from you. Help us discover this below. Past examples of writing needn't be in the same style you'd use on The First Drop, but they should be work that you're proud of. If you don't have examples, don't worry. Your first TFD article should be a finished piece, ready for publication.

Link to or upload examples of previous writing

Please provide direct links if published on the Internet, otherwise simply attach files with common formats, such as .txt, .rtf, .pdf, or .doc. We'd like to see one or two examples of your previous work, but more is also welcome. You may use both links and files, up to three of each.
